Microblading Eyebrows

  • What is Microblading (Semi permanent, Eyebrow Embroidery, Brow Resurrection) method?Microblading (or eyebrow embroidery) is a relatively new, manual method. It is considered to be semi-permanent, as compared to the traditional hairstroke technique. It is done using a very fine blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis. Because we’re impacting color closer to the surface, the strokes appear crisp and very fine. There is no “spilling” under the skin. This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows.

  • The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present.  People suffering from alopecia, trichotillomania or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from Microblading, as well as people who simply aren't happy with their eyebrows. The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into them. The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow.

  • Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a two week period. It is absolutely crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.

  • The results can last anywhere from  1 to 2  years, depending on different factors affecting the procedure. However, a touch up after 6 -10 months is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment.

  • What is permanent makeup?
Permanent make up or micro pigmentation is the art of depositing fine pigments into the dermal layer of the skin to improve one’s appearance. When done well, the results are natural, soft and can exceed topical make up.

  • Just how permanent is it?
The duration of permanent cosmetics is dependent on several factors, including the expertise of the technician, client’s skin type and after care. All tattoos are subject to fading over time. Provided the after care is strictly followed, the results should last 3-10 years.
Touch ups are recommended as needed between 1-2 years.

  • Is it painful?
No. While there is some discomfort associated with permanent make up, most people would not classify it as pain. New topical anesthetics are available to us that numb the area locally. It’s very common to hear from clients that it wasn't as painful as they anticipated.

  • How long does the procedure take?
Need 2-3 session with 2 week gap between
Allow 2-3 hours for the procedure. Your technician will spend most of the time analyzing your features and designing the best shape to complement your facial morphology. Your input is greatly valued at this stage, as you are most comfortable with your face. Once the shape and colors have been agreed upon, the tattoo process takes about 45 minutes to an hour.

  • What can I expect the day of the procedure?
First, your features will be carefully analyzed. Sometimes, our own brows are not perfect and cause us to look older or tired. Sometimes, our topical make up ages us. Your technician will make recommendations on shape, design and color according to your individual needs. Once the design has been agreed upon, your cosmetic tattoo will be applied. There may be some swelling and redness following the procedure. Your tattoo will appear darker initially, but the color will soften within a few days. Your technician will send you home with everything you need to care for your new tattoo.

  • How do you choose designs and colors?
You’re in luck! Your technician has been a make up artist most of her life. She’s spent years playing with colors and perfecting faces. Although permanent make up is different, she still relies on her knowledge of color theory and face morphology. We have a vast number of pigments, all of which can be mixed to create even more hues. Every face is different and Ana takes great effort to ensure the color is just right for you. Designs are chosen to maximize the potential of your own face. Making a subtle change in the placement of the arch or elongating the brow itself can make an enormous difference in how you look. This is the most time consuming part of the procedure as well as the most important.

  • What if I don’t like it?
Although cosmetic tattooing is considered to be permanent, the procedure does allow flexibility for color or shape change to some extent. However, it is recommended that you work closely with your technician to ensure that you are both satisfied with the proposed technique. Your technician will allow you to have as much control over the procedure as possible, so there’s very little room for error. If you aren’t 100% sure you would benefit from permanent make up, please opt for a more temporary option.
